B.Mac Closes
The B.Mac store in Ottawa appears to have called it quits. I drove out there at lunch to try to get an iPod firewire cable and found the hand-written scribble at-right. I tried the door again just to make sure.
It’s unfortunate, because it was a nice store, but I’d been there too often and not found what I wanted or been given attitude by a staffer. One notable time I asked someone if they had an Apple bluetooth adapter and they showed me one I’d just seen at a Best Buy for five bucks cheaper. Perhaps stupidly I blurted out that I’d just seen it for 5 bucks less at the Best Buy, to which the non-plussed employee suggested I return there to buy it. I didn’t end up buying a bluetooth adapter that day or the Apple wireless keyboard or a Logitech MX900 mouse or any of the other bluetooth gadgets I thought I needed that day and never did buy them, suffering with cables ever since.
And, I had to go to Best Buy to get a USB + Firewire cable to trade for deb’s Firewire cable. I initially went to CompuSmart to see if they had any firewire dock cables but the dude at the store said, “They don’t make those”. Yah right, what do you think they ship with, MORON?!!1
oh well, there’s still the Mac Group.
