‘Pack ice’ suggests frozen sea on Mars
New Scientist Breaking News - ‘Pack ice’ suggests frozen sea on Mars

If correct, the researchers have discovered an 800km x 900km x 45m block of ice located near the equator of Mars. This would be an ideal landing site for a manned expedition.
How much water is that? If it’s fresh,
8e106 x 9e106 x 4.5e10 = 3.24e1013 litres of water. *
this was totally off. Not only is 1m3 not 1 litre (apparently it’s 10cm3) but ice and water are not the same density. Q.v., the aqueous properties of water. So, I don’t know what the hell I’m talking about… The remainder is all right out. Add more zeroes…
