Amsterdam Travelog Day 2

… or the hotel room, if you prefer. It’s a beautiful day in Amsterdam, the sun is shining and it’s a bit windy. I just returned to the hotel after a small reconnaissance walk around the neighbourhood and a spot of breakfast.

I ate at the Pannenkoeken Mosselhuis Petit Restaurant and tried a mixed fruit pancake and a double cappuccino. The coffee was excellent as I’ve come to expect here and the pancakes are thin, like crepes and quite tasty. The grand total was €12.00, which is not cheap, especially considering the “mixed fruit” was a can of fruit cocktail.

Anyway, bitching about the price of food aside, we had a fantastic meal at an indonesian restaurant last night. Rather than go to bed as I’d planned, we met up with dria’s posse and went out for a serious feed of spicy and delicious south-east asian cuisine. It did not disappoint, and I’m hoping to get a picture or two from the guy with the camera last night.

Also, this internet connection is crap.
