The Cycle of Turkey
Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
It’s early and I haven’t gotten much sleep. Turkey makes you sleepy, which lends itself to naps. Naps make you non-sleepy, which tend to keep you awake. It’s a vicious cycle.
This weekend was nice. The entity known as “c+b” came over Sunday night and we dined on bird and chocolate pudding cake as created by dria and drank fine wines hand-selected from the Okanagan region of British Colombia by Mr.B. After we could eat no more, we watched a couple episodes of Rome on the recordo-tron.
The highlight of Saturday was watching Oldboy, a Korean movie by director Park Chan-wook. Oldboy is about a man named Oh Dae-su, mysteriously imprisoned for 15 years. Released into the world, his wife and daughter murdered, our hero sets out to find the person that did this to him. This was an unusual movie and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It is violent though and has a fair number of disturbing scenes. ****
Monday was more of the same with some video games (Age of Wonders, Dead or Alive: Ultimate) and a couple of delicious turkey sandwiches.
Now, I have to go to work. Three hours of sleep isn’t going to cut it…
