Let the Apple Rumors Fly

The past week has been all a-buzz with the latest in rumor-mongering about what Apple will announce at tomorrow’s event. Scarcely one month after the January keynote, Apple is announcing some “fun new products”. Here are my predictions / hopes, distilled through my web-browser and giving credit to no one whom I may have stolen these from:

1. iPod 6G. Bigger hard-drive, wireless capabilities.
2. Intel Mini. It’ll have front row and a remote and sit in my living room as a media machine. It must have digital audio and a Dual Core processor option.
3. Airport Express with Video. I’d accept one of these as a substitute for an Intel Mini with digital audio on it.
4. MacBook (sans pro). Updated iBooks with widescreen and built-in iSight. It’ll have an Intel Single Core processor in it or Dual Core as an option.
5. Tablet computer. It’s your all-in-one eBook + video + sketchbook + webpad computer. It’ll have a pen.

Of these, I’d really like to see #s 1 and 2 materialize. I’ve been moaning for a larger iPod for a year or more now and would really like to see that happen. If it doesn’t, I’m just gonna start hacking mine and nobody wants to see that.

MacNN also just posted that Apple may be launching a film download service. That’d be nice.
