Embedded
I was thinking of writing some video game reviews today. I could tell you all about “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon 3: Advanced Warfighter” (Ubisoft) or even “Fight Night Round 3″ (Electronic Arts) and how much fun I’ve been having with those titles despite their respective — often glaring — weaknesses and limitations…
I could also talk at great length about the movie V for Vendetta and how thought-provoking and well-adapted from the graphic novel of the same name it was. (“V For Vendetta” (Alan Moore, David Lloyd)) How I saw it not once, but twice this past weekend and how I drove all the way to Toronto to see it with my good friend prod, then saw it again when I got home with dria whom I practically had to drag into the theatre because she was being so ambivalent, then drag her out of the theatre when it was over because she was so overcome with emotion that she couldn’t bear to leave.
Or, I could talk all about the drive to and fro’ Toronto in my super cool car and about the adventures prod and I had driving around his part of town. I could go on about how I solved the Asian Bird Flu crisis with the powers of my mind. Or about how my cat had opened an inter-dimensional portal to an alien universe allowing my evil, goateed counter-part to infiltrate our world and cause all kinds of monkeyshines that were attributed to me before being apprehended and sent back to his universe screaming down a cataclysmic, climactic, causality cyclone… but frankly, I just don’t have the strength.
You see, it’s springtime and my interests in such mundane matters are limited at-best. I would much rather go for a nice walk outside in the slightly below-zero temperatures breathing in the not-so-fresh air near the not-very-clean-at-all Ottawa River. I think that is what I shall do instead.
