Thinking about redesign
I’ve been staring at this page now for almost a week wracking my brain about what to do with it. On the one hand, I kind of like the style and the riff on the Logic Pro app. On the other, it looks pretty ugly. To be perfectly honest, it looked dated when I made it, but it was my first crack at a WordPress theme so I shouldn’t be too hard on myself.
Aside: I just saw a big flat bed carting a freaking TANK down the road outside my window. Moving on…
Since upgrading to WordPress 2.0 this has opened up some extra possibilities for theming and I will likely start checking out some of the themes that are available. I’ll also likely check a few of them out and see what I can come up with.
I may post a link to my testblog so you can see what I’m working on when I set it up. I’m sure it’ll be just as exciting to watch as it sounds.
One other thing I will take a look at is the WP-Cache plugin mentioned by Daniel Jalkut from the Red Sweater Blog. He’s taken a look at optimizing his WP installation and by the sounds of things it’s a good thing to do. Not that I’m likely to get a huge burst of traffic, but you never know. Maybe someone will find my Jedi Training Video…
