The Special Ultra
It is Friday. I’ve been in Toronto all week and it’s starting to take its toll. Last night dria and I hooked up with RPM (of the Special Ultra fame) and he took me around to some of his favorite haunts. We started the evening at the Duke of Argyle for some pints and fried pepperonis (halifax-style!). Then had a fantastic meal at KitKat — we started with mussels in a coconut curry sauce, with a tuna steak on wild rice and grilled veggies for the main. Fantastic stuff. A bottle of New Zealand pinot accompanied the meal. Later, we helped close down Club Lucky’s before returning to the hotel. Honestly, I don’t know how that man can maintain the lifestyle.
Today’s efforts are somewhat-hampered by an inability to leave my room. I’ve managed to shower though and in a short while, I’m going to wander out for something called a Hal Burger…

Good times were definitely had by all! It’s not something to be done every week but it was well worth the pain of the next morning. Thanks again.
