prod: Well, I don’t want to give anything away (no spoils!) but I originally started writing this with the intention of reviewing the SE530s. I’ve wanted to write a review of the Koss Portapros for quite awhile though and this sort of morphed into that. Stay tuned for Part 2!

Jules: I think you’ll like the Kosses, but like Prod says, I’m not sure you’ll notice a big difference between them and the PX100s. They’ve been reviewed pretty favorably with the reviews I read giving the Koss pair a slight edge. Hope you enjoy ‘em.

Doc: They are ugly. That’s part of their charm.

I’ve had both the Koss and the Senns Jules, and I think they’re both great. I doubt you’ll hear a major difference between the two.
Also, why do I get the feeling that this post is just a set up for rob to brag about his new Shure 530s?

I use the Sennheiser PX 100. My only complaint is the bass response is a little lacking for this type of headphone. There is some bleed, but no more than ear buds if you fit them right.

I just ordered the Koss from newegg!

Wow, those are some of the ugliest phones I’ve ever seen. I’m glad they sound good
