Iphone 3g

Deb and I went to the rogers store yesterday ostensibly so I could get a replacement battery for my ailing blackberry 8800. We ended up leaving with a brand new pair of iPhone 3g 16Gb phones. It’s been increasingly clear that the iPhones are closer to what I’ve wanted as a wireless device for awhile now, and something snapped when I finally got close to them.

Wifi, camera, gps and easy synching with my macs were the main selling features for me. The typing is a little awkward still, but I’m getting better at it. This post is written on my phone while sitting in my backyard listening to the symphony of lawnmowers chewing through wet grass. The current selection of available apps is a tad weak, but I expect they’ll improve over time.

So far, my experience has been positive. I plan on posting some reviews of my favorite apps shortly.
